Title: Licensing Agent
Reports to: Executive Director, Ponca Gaming Commission
Type of Position: Full-time
Location: Perry, Oklahoma/Fancy Dance Casino

General Description:
The purpose of this position is to conduct investigations to determine the eligibility of an individual applicant to obtain a Ponca Tribal Gaming License and to provide a high-level of administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence and scheduling employee licensing. This position will be a key role in setting up the licensing process for Fancy Dance Casino.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Able to interpret an organized written process for conducting background investigations according to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) regulations.
Conducts thorough investigations to make determinations on whether or not applicants meet eligibility requirements to obtain a gaming license.
Corresponds with the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regarding application and eligibility determinations.
Set-up and maintain applicant files and database.
Protects the confidentiality of background information regarding each applicant.
Must be detail oriented to follow gaming regulations and communicate opportunities to resolve problems, achieve goals, or otherwise advance the Ponca Gaming Commission and its processes.
Interact cooperatively with the Ponca Gaming Commissioners (PGC) and representatives from the Oklahoma Tribal Regulator/Commissioners Gaming Association (OTGRA).
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications/Experience
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One (1) year of gaming regulatory experience; Three (3) or more years gaming regulatory experience preferred.
Must have excellent writing, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Must be professional and dependable as well as maintain effective working relationships.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license with the NIGC which entails a full background check and drug screen.
