Job Description:
Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) is the retail, gaming, entertainment, hospitality and cultural tourism entity of the Cherokee Nation. CNE operates ten casinos in Claremore, Fort Gibson, Ramona, Roland, Sallisaw, Tahlequah, Tulsa, West Siloam Springs, South Coffeyville, and Grove as well as two Cherokee Travel Plaza and convenience store, numerous restaurants and entertainment venues, six retail smoke shops, nine gift shops, two golf courses, two tourism welcome centers, four museums, three hotels, two horse racing tracks and KOA RV campground.

SUMMARY

The Main Cage Cashier is responsible for preparing and issuing banks for employees, performing drops, balancing cash, and verifying employee drops. Follow all gaming regulations under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance main cage.
Issue banks to employees.
Verify money employees drop during shifts and close out.
Follow all gaming regulations.
Maintain cage security.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum of a High School diploma or GED and previous cash handling experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest service.
Knowledge of mathematics.
Previous cashier experience.
Knowledge of computers.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to obtain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The duties of this position are primarily performed in a climate controlled office environment with frequent exposure to smoke or loud noise. The position requires minimal physical exertion during the performance of majority of the duties. Most work is performed while standing, sitting or walking with occasional need to lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach and handle. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
