OIGA Chairman and Envoy of the Chickasaw Nation Matthew L. Morgan spoke to students in an Indian Gaming Law class at Oklahoma City University School of Law. Tribal gaming operations are a dynamic workforce and economic driver in Oklahoma, specifically rural portions of the state. OIGA continues to look towards future generations’ stewardship of this vital Oklahoma industry.

Induced and indirect impact on the economic output on the State of Oklahoma from both construction and operations is estimated to equal just over $2.2 billion annually, giving a total economic impact of $7.2 billion from annual operations and construction. Of that, 60 percent occurred in rural areas.
