A Tulsa lawmaker has authored a bill to legalize sports betting in the state. Tribes that hold exclusive gaming rights in Oklahoma would need to endorse Senate Bill 125 for its passage to be meaningful … Under SB 125 filed by Senator Dave Rader, Tribes would have the option of negotiating amendments to their gaming compacts to allow both in-person and mobile sports betting. However, at least four tribes would have to agree to amendments before sports wagering would be authorized, and agreements would have to be approved by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Betting would be allowed on sporting events other than horse races, as horse racing is already addressed in existing compacts.
