Applications are now open for OIGA’s John Marley Scholarships. The deadline to apply is June 7.
Scholarships will be awarded in three categories: high school students whose parents work in Tribal Gaming in Oklahoma; college students whose parents work in Tribal Gaming in Oklahoma and Oklahoma employees of the Tribal Gaming industry.
The John Marley Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the search for knowledge and the provision of scholarships for eligible individuals in order to attend accredited colleges, universities and trade schools in Oklahoma or other states.
The Scholarship Fund is named for John Marley, a man instrumental in the development of the Association who preached the importance of education, and sharing knowledge, to Association members since its founding. Marley has been a vendor of everything from bingo daubers to electronic games in his more than 20 years in Oklahoma, but to many he has been much more: a friend, a counselor, and a mentor who has always put the interests of Oklahoma Indian Gaming above all else.
